Opportunity in Connecticut

In 2009, the Kirwan Institute, in a report commissioned by the Connecticut Fair Housing Center, used 11 data points to identify the "opportunity" available in each census tract in Connecticut.

This map indicates neighborhoods that are thriving and struggling along a five-tier scale.  Neighborhoods that are thriving represent good housing and educational options for families that have historically been cut off from opportunity.  Areas that are struggling present opportunities for investment and community action.
