History

Open Communities Alliance was launched in October of 2013 by a small group of advocates in Connecticut who believe that place and race matter and that it is time for a frank conversation about the impact racial, ethnic, and economic segregation has on everyone in the state.  The Alliance supports an urban-suburban interracial coalition that pushes for access to opportunity and housing choice.  This work is grounded in the comprehensive research and analysis of the Alliance and its partners.
